Alvin A. Lamkey, 69, of Ste. Genevieve passed away Saturday December 27, 2008 at his home.  Mr. Lamkey was a truck driver for Schwerman Trucking.  Born January 14, 1939 in Butts, Missouri; he was the son of the late Sam and Getta (Murray) Lamkey. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Washburn) Lamkey of Ste. Genevieve; a son, Alvin Lamkey of Dittmer; two daughters: Elizabeth Thrasher of St. Petersand Stacy (James) Davis of Park Hills; a sister Mary Null of DeSoto; two stepbrothers: Charles Belfield of Sullivan and Gene Belfield of Bonne Terre; a stepsister, Janet Belfield of Sullivan, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a brother Vernon Lamkey. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto.
